The FAO National Professional Officer (Human Resources) position for 2025 offers a unique opportunity to support the Food and Agriculture Organization’s mission of eradicating hunger and promoting sustainable agriculture. Minimum Requirements
• National of the country of assignment.
• Advanced university degree in a field related to human resources, business management and/or public administration.
• One year of relevant experience in human resources, management and support, and/or public administration.
• Working knowledge (proficiency – level C) of English and Thai.

Technical/Functional Skills
• Work experience in more than one location or area of work is desirable.

• Strong sense of team spirit, service-oriented and able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good sense and awareness of confidentiality and sensitivity of HR-related matters.
• Ability to organize, coordinate and supervise the work of others and ensure a harmonious work environment.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The length of appointment for internal FAO candidates will be established in accordance with applicable policies pertaining to the extension of appointments.
• Staff members in this category are recruited locally and paid according to a local salary scale. Salary scales are reviewed periodically on the basis of comprehensive surveys of the best prevailing conditions of employment in the locality.
• FAO reserves the right not to make an appointment, to make an appointment at a lower grade, or to make an appointment with a modified job description.
• Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment, accreditation, any residency or visa requirements, and security clearances.
